Kanye West put his newfound title as the highest paid celebrity of 2020 to good use this week, donating millions to the families of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, and setting up a college fund for the daughter George Floyd. Now, West's actions also include attending a demonstration against police brutality in his native Chicago.

Yesterday (June 4), West joined a march organized by Chicago Public School students on the city's South Side. While West did not make any speeches during the demonstration, those in the crowd made sure to document his appearance. In spite of West's generous donations and march appearance, listeners on social media stressed that these actions do not absolve him of the controversial views on Donald Trump, MAGA hatsslavery and more that he has been sharing over the last two years. In April, West indicated that he would consider voting for Trump in the upcoming U.S. election. He is also reportedly at work on a new album called God's Country.
