Published Jan 17, 2017Nearly three years removed from Hot Dreams, Canadian trio Timber Timbre have lifted the curtain on their next full-length record. Titled, Sincerely, Future Pollution, the new album arrives in April through Arts & Crafts/City Slang.
Nine tracks in length, Sincerely, Future Pollution was recorded outside of Paris and is said to be a "document of this generation's degeneration and disarray."
"2016 was a very difficult time to observe," the band's Taylor Kirk said of the record. "I hate to admit that normally I express more sensitivity than concern politically, but I think the tone and result on the record is utter chaos and confusion. When we were recording, the premonition was that the events we saw unfolding were an elaborate hoax. But the mockery made of our power system spawned a lot of dark, dystopic thoughts and ideas. And then it all happened, while everyone was on Instagram. The sewers overflowed."
Along with the announcement, the band have shared ominous album cut "Sewer Blues," which demonstrates the record's darkness in its reliance on delay and rhythm. The group have also mapped out a North American tour, which will start on April 28 following a return from Europe.
Sincerely, Future Pollution arrives April 7. Read through the record's tracklisting to find the band's tour itinerary and "Sewer Blues" in the player below.
