Madonna's 'God Control' Video Features a Graphic Nightclub Shooting
Madonna recently returned with her new album Madame X, and now she's treated its song "God Control" to a violent new video.

The clip, which was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, doubles as a short film as Madonna performs in a nightclub that is quickly interrupted with a vicious mass shooting.

"I want to draw attention through my platform as an artist to a problem in America that is out of control and is taking the lives of innocent people," Madonna said in a statement. "This crisis can end if our legislators act to change the laws that fail to protect us all."

Whether the video serves its purpose or comes across as a bit of self-serving camp is for you to decide. The "God Control" video can be viewed below.
